3D Printed 6" Newtonian Tabletop Stand / Cradle (GSO 750)

I use 3D printing all the time to solve the simplest of problems. This time around it was getting my telescope into a position that’s easy to work on, looks decent, and takes up as little table space as possible. Before this, I was clumping a bunch of towels under it to keep it steady — which worked, but it spread across half my workbench. This is a cleaner solution.

Feel free to download and print these out yourself if you’ve got a 6-inch Newtonian. I lined the cradle with that black tool-drawer padding – cut it to fit and glued it down on top of the plastic so it sits between the telescope and the stand. This helps keep the tube from sliding around.
